Lind grad earns accounting scholarship

The Washington CPA Foundation, the benevolent arm of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, has awarded Emily Kulm an accounting scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Kulm, a Lind High School alumnus, is attending the graduate program at Gonzaga University in Spokane. She anticipates earning her Masters in Accounting in 2012.

Kulm, a graduate of the Washington State University School of Business, was a member of several on-campus organizations, including Beta Alpha Psi, the international accounting student honors organization. She served as the Vice President of Database while at WSU. She was also a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority, where she served as Vice President of Scholarship.

Kulm has placed on the President’s Honor Roll in each of her years at Washington State University. After Kulm earns her Masters in Accountancy, she plans to work at a public accounting firm in the Spokane area, with a goal of becoming a partner in a firm someday.
