Fires occupy Ritzville, county firefighters

Eight Ritzville firefighters responded to the Top Hat Motel around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday morning where evergreen shrubs were ablaze. Initially, it was reported as a structure fire.

The Ritzville fire truck, a brush truck and the rescue rig were on the scene and used 750 gallons of water.

According to Ritzville chief Andy Lefevre, it is believed the fire was caused by a campfire the previous evening.
