  • Time to get better

    Dale Anderson|Updated Dec 1, 2016

The seasons wind down and a new season in another sport winds up. Here we are at the end of November and who would have thought that the hottest professional football team in Seattle would be the Seattle Sounders. Okay, for those of you that don’t like that term so be it. I’ll be honest with you; I don’t understand the system for the soccer playoffs. I don’t understand what aggregate means when it comes to the playoffs either. All I know is that Seattle won the Western...

  • Serving as president isn’t always about “popularity”

    Updated Dec 1, 2016

Whew! It’s finally over, except for the shouting. Much of that from people who have been use to getting too many free things from our tax dollars. He was so unpopular that it cost the red party during the mid-term election. He had inherited a real mess from M... Full story

  • Federal government must listen to local community on Snake River Dams

Congressman Dan Newhouse, Fourth District|Updated Dec 1, 2016

Hundreds of local residents showed up last week in Pasco for a debate that many thought had long been settled. We again find ourselves making the case that proposals to breach the Columbia and lower Snake River dams would hurt our local community, and negative impacts would far outweigh any benefit. Last week’s meeting was a glaring e... Full story
