  • ACDC set to host annual tourney

    The Adams County Development Council (ACDC) is hosting the fifth annual open four-person scramble at Othello Golf Club on Saturday, Aug. 24. The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Check-in begins at 12 p.m. and a single entry fee is $75, and team entry fees are $300. Entry fees include green fees, cart, dinner and drinks. Individuals interested in attending the dinner and auction are charged $20 per person. Prizes for the event are $300 for first place, $150 for second place and $100 for third place....

  • Fair workday planned

    The Wheat Land Communities’ Fair (WLCF) board has announced a workday for Sunday, Aug. 25, beginning at 1 p.m. The fair board, together with members of the local 4-H and FFA chapters, will be onsite preparing the fairgrounds for this years’ WLCF, set to begin on Aug. 29.   • Summer reading continues at library

    The Ralston Grange is in need of volunteers to help fill shifts at the Grange’s bingo and food concession at the upcoming Wheat Land Communities’ Fair.     Advance tickets are now available for the Wheat Land Communities’ Fair that runs from Aug. 29 until Sep. 1. Advance tickets are on sale until Wednesday, Aug. 28. The advance ticket prices for the four-day event are $55 for a family pass, $22 for an adult pass, a senior pass is $17 and a youth pass costs $12.
