    Howard H. Gering, 82, Moses Lake resident died July 21, 2011, at Lake Ridge Solana Care Center in Moses Lake. He was born on Oct. 8, 1928 in Schrag to Henry and Bertha (Janke) Gering. He was a farmer in agriculture in the Schrag area until retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ann Farrelly and Lois McMillan.     Recently two senior citizens in our community received phone calls from subjects indicating they were the senior’s grandsons. In each case the caller said they needed money from their grandparents to get out of jail in a foreign country. In the first case the caller said he was in jail in Mexico and needed his grandmother to send him money so he could get out of jail.     July 11, 2011 Amy Dawn Cerrillo pled guilty to one count of first-degree theft in a case filed on Jan. 7, 2011. Judge Richard W. Miller in Adams County Superior Court sentenced Cerrillo to 17 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections (DOC) with credit for time previously served. Cerrillo is responsible to pay $500 victim assessment, $200 clerk’s filing fee, $30 sheriff’s fee, $350 attorney fees and $500 fine. Rodney H.
