    OTHELLO – The local high school was locked down Wednesday, May 10, after a reported threat. According to a report, city police and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the high school, 340 S. Seventh St., at 11:18 a.m. after a threat of a school shooting. The threat call, which was made to the Sheriff’s Office in Ritzville, indicated there was an armed person in front of the school, records show.     SPOKANE – A local girl was recently named Super Cattle Showman for her efforts at the 88th annual Junior Livestock Show at Spokane County Fair and Expo Center. Alyssa Williams of the Lind-Ritzville FFA received the honor at the event that included more than 230 Future Farmers of America competitors and 150 4-H competitors from across Eastern Washington.     SPRAGUE - The School District will receive $5 million to upgrade aging systems. The funds will come from the state biennial capital budget.
