    Georgetown University projects there will be more than two million jobs added to the health care industry by 2020. This inspired a group of Lind-Ritzville High School (LRHS) students to seek out opportunities in the field.     The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague fastpitch team’s first doubleheader of the season was postponed from March 22 to March 26 due to rain. On March 26 the team took on the Wilbur-Creston Lady Wildcats for their season opener. The Lady Broncos were able to take the win in both games by ten running the opponent, 17-7 and 16-6.     The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Broncos baseball team played their first two doubleheaders of the season and are now more comfortable with their positions on the field. The Broncos took on Wilbur-Creston for their opening doubleheader of the season on March 23 here in Ritzville. They split the series starting off with a 5-4 win over the Wildcats and ending with a 6-18 loss.   • Volunteer Day slated in Lind

    Join the Nature Conservancy in the heart of Lind Coulee on April 2 and April 3, for a habitat improvement project on the smallest sagelands preserve. Noted as a quality sagebrush community remnant, the Lind preserve is situated in a highly fragmented landscape and is slowly recovering from the impacts of multiple wildfires. This project targets the removal of fence line affected during the fires, which poses a major hazard to the movement of animals across the property.
