Two arrested after trespassing on farm

RITZVILLE — Two people were arrested May 27 following a report of trespassers on a farm west of the city.

Rosalyn Revelation Acar, 46, of Moses Lake, was arrested on multiple charges, including second-degree criminal trespassing, providing false/misleading information to law enforcement, and Benton County warrants for possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree identity theft, second-degree burglary and failure to appear in court.

Timothy A. Johnson, 46, of Spokane, was arrested by citation for second-degree criminal trespassing and released.

Adams County Sheriff’s Office records show additional charges are pending the outcome of search warrants.

The duo was arrested at about 9:58 a.m. May 27, records show.

They were in a gray Honda Civic parked on private property near a large agricultural sprayer in the 1500 block of East Rosenoff Road, records show. As deputies approached, Johnson was spotted walking away from the sprayer.

Approaching deputies also noticed Acar sitting in the vehicle, records show.

The couple told deputies they had stopped because they were tired, records show. Deputies, noted they were trespassing and asked for identification.

Johnson provided his ID, but Acar said her ID had been stolen and gave law enforcement officers a false name and birth date, later determined to be that of her sister, records show.

Johnson consented to a search of the car and Acar consented to a search of her purse, records show. Inside the purse was a bank card not belonging to either suspect.
