MAIN WELL DEEPENING

The Town of Washtucna (Owner) is requesting Bids for the Main Well Deepening Project. Bids will be received by the Town via online submission only until 11:00 AM June 26, 2024. At that time the Bids will be opened and read aloud in a public web conference via the following link:

A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders, and posted on the Varela Website.

Scope of Project

The project consists of deepening, an existing 12-inch well (Main Well) to increase its capacity. The existing well is approximately 517 feet deep. Total additional depth will depend on conditions encountered, but it is not expected to exceed approximately 750 additional feet of depth. Refer to the Contract Documents for additional details.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

The BIDDING DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:

2.Visit http://www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs”. Prospective bidders may view digital files at no cost.

To Bid the project, Bidder shall download a full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS from http://www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs” and shall be on the Plan Holders List. Bids shall be submitted electronically via the Varela Plan Room website and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents.

Pre-Bid Meeting

Bidders shall visit the well site prior to bidding to examine site conditions and site access. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 10:00 AM on June 19, 2024, at the Main Well site in Washtucna.

Instructions to Bidders

For requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders and other documents that are included in the Bidding Documents.

Bid bonds in an amount not less than 5% of the amount bid are to be made payable to the Owner.

The project is funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing federal or state wage rates.
