Girls playing this week at district

SPOKANE — The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague girls are still alive in the fastpitch playoffs picture this week.

District tournament play was set to begin Tuesday, May 14, at Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, 5701 N. Assembly St.

The No. 4-ranked Broncos were schedule to open the tournament against No. 5 Asotin at 4 p.m.

The two teams split when they faced off earlier this season in Ritzville.

The winner was slated to advance to the district semifinals against the winner of the Jenkins (Chewelah) versus Liberty (Spangle) game at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 14.
