Girls get ready for district fastpitch

DAVENPORT - The Bronco girls softball team wrapped up regular season play Saturday, May 3, by blanking the Gorillas in a doubleheader.

The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague girls won the opener 11-0 and the nightcap 14-0 over Davenport.

Individual statistics were not reported.

The local girls take the week off in preparation for districts on Tuesday, May 14, and Friday, May 17.

The district tournament games will take place at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, 5701 N. Assembly St., Spokane.

The Broncos will learn who they face after the final Northeast 2B league games are played this week.

As of press time, the local girls were No. 5 in league standings, behind Liberty (Spangle) at No. 1, and Northwest Christian (Colbert), Asotin and Colfax, rounding out the Top 4, respectively.
