CITY OF Ritzville COMPREHENSIVE

PLAN PERIODIC

UPDATE

Date of Issuance: March 29, 2024.

Description of proposal: The City

of Ritzville intends to adopt a

newly updated Comprehensive

Plan that provides more precise

di rection based on current

circumstances, existing conditions,

and feedback from the

stakeholders and public with

newly updated goals, objectives,

policies, maps, and strategies

to meet compliance with

the Washington State Growth

Management Act (GMA). The

Comprehensive Plan update

aims to bring the City of Ritzville

into compliance with the

GMA and provide the city with

tools to accommodate growth

and development pressures.

Location: Within the corporate

limits of the City of Ritzville.

Proponent and Lead Agency:

City of Ritzville

The City of Ritzville has determined

that this proposal will

not have a probable significant

adverse impact on the environment.

An environmental impact

statement (EIS) is not

r e q u i r e d u n d e r R C W

43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision

was made after review of a

completed environmental

checklist and other information

on file with the lead agency.

This information is available

to the public upon request.

This DNS is issued under WAC

197-11-340(2) and the lead

agency will not act on this proposal

for 14 days from the date

of publication (04/03/2024).

Any interested parties may

submit written comments on

this proposal. Written comments

on this DNS must be

submitted to the City of Ritzville

by 5 pm on April 16, 2024.

Appeal Deadline: Pursuant to

Ritzville Municipal Code (RMC)

11.255 Appeals, a determination

of nonsignificant decision may

be appealed within 14 days.

Written appeals must contain a

concise statement and the appropriate

appeal fee must be

filed by a person or agency to the

City of Ritzville located at 216 E.

Main Ave, Ritzville, WA 99169,

by 5 pm on April 16, 2024.
