Rita LaPearl Grams Imler was born on Sept. 7, 1933, to Reinhold and Mary Grams in Ralston. She died on Nov. 10, 2023, at the age of 90 after a short illness.

Rita attended Ralston Elementary and graduated from Ritzville High School in 1951. She moved to Spokane and worked as a legal secretary. Rita married John Imler Oct. 2, 1954, and had two children, Becky and Danny. Rita retired from Medical Lake Public School District after decades of work as a building secretary.
