RITZVILLE – A day after the Bronco girls fell a point short to Liberty, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague bounced back to top St. George’s.
The Broncos (10-7, 7-5 in league) used a second and third quarter rally to top the Dragons, 61-54, on Jan. 24.
Trailing 15-9 after one quarter, the Broncos outscored the Dragons by 6 points in the second quarter and 8 in the third to take a commanding 44-36 lead going into the final stanza. They then held on as the Dragons (3-11, 3-6 in league) closed the margin by only a single point.
Bronco Zoe Galbreath led all scorers with 26 points. Maddi Cameron added 12 for the Broncos, Harlee Hennings 9, Saige Galbreath 7, Addy Colbert 5 and Allesandra Mendez 2.
The in came a day after a narrow loss to Liberty (Spangle).
On Jan. 23, the Lancers topped the Bronco girls, 55-54.
Zoe Galbreath topped all scorers with 39 points for Lind-Ritzville. Grace Grumbly scored 14 to lead Liberty.
Others scoring for the Broncos included Danika Cox and Harlee Hennings, 2 points each; Saige Galbreath, 4, Colbert 3 and Cameron 4.
