Sheriff's Office awards program slated

Distinguished employees to be honored

RITZVILLE – Three employees of the Adams County Sheriff’s Office will be recognized during an awards ceremony Jan. 10.

Sheriff Dale Wagner said the 1 p.m. event in Adams County Superior Court is open to the public.

Three distinguished awards – Valor, Lifesaving and Sheriff Star – will be presented to employees who performed their duties honorably, he said, noting each award honors an individual’s commitment to service above self.

The names of the award winners have yet to be announced.

The Valor Award honors individuals who have exhibited remarkable courage and bravery in the face of danger.

The Lifesaving Award recognizes those who have displayed quick thinking and decisive actions leading to preservation of life.

The Sheriff Star is a symbol of exemplary service and leadership in law enforcement, representing the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to the principles of justice.

“It’s crucial to recognize and appreciate the efforts of outstanding individuals who contribute to the safety and well-being of our community,” Wagner said. “Your presence at this ceremony would not only honor the recipients but also inspire others in our community.”
