Sheriff’s Log

Ritzville – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls for service from Dec. 10-16:

Dec. 10

1:30 a.m. – A residential burglary alarms was activated and when Deputies arrived they saw no threat and didn’t know what caused the alarm at the 2900 block of West Gillis Road.

3:30 a.m. – Deputies had found a wallet upon an investigation of assault call, deputies tried to contact the owner but were unsuccessful and put it in safekeeping, wallet found in the 800 block of South Reynolds Road.

3:42 a.m. – Alarm was activated and deputies found no threat in the block of 2900 block of West Gillis Road.

4:52 p.m. – Deputies contacted a semi and trailer that had been blocking a part of the West bound Weber Avenue Roadway at a no parking sign. The driver removed upon request.

5:23 p.m. – Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle being parked on the callers private property but when Deputies contacted the vehicle the driver explained they were having mechanical issues and were working on removing the vehicle from the complainants property, in the 1900 block of West Hampton Road.

10:50 p.m. – deputies completed HULK vehicle forms for a property in the 2200 block of West Rainer Road.

Dec. 11

12:12 a.m.- Citizen assist in the 100 block of East Third Street.

12:48 a.m. – Deputies were informed of an abandoned vehicle, the complainant requested junk vehicle but the vehicle didn’t meet the requirements for junk vehicle forms, in the 500 block of South Country lane.

5:54 p.m. – a resident called to report his wallet missing and deputies were able to locate in the 300 block of South Reynolds Road.

5:54 p.m.- Deputies tried to contact the owners of a missing dog that was identified as a white/grey pit bull as Rosco in the 600 block of South Kristina Road, Othello.

10:14 p.m. – Deputies were informed of a missing dog, the deputies found the dog tied up in the middle of the field when they were returned in the 2200 block of West Rainier Road.

Dec. 12

12:28 a.m. – Citizen Dispute in the 2100 block of West Clyde lane.

8:49 p.m. – Report of an animal problem but upon arrival deputies noted the animal was possibly injured and then contacted Pet Rescue, in the 700 block of South Ridgeview Loop.

1:56 p.m. – Deputies responded to a reported death of a hawk in the 700 block of South Ridgeview Loop.

2:41 p.m. – deputies were informed of a theft in the 2000 block of West Cemetery road.

6:44 p.m. – Agency assistance in the Theo block of Soda Street.

8:56 p.m. – Deputies responded to an assault in progress involving a large group in the 800 block of South 24 Highway.

10:54 p.m. – Alarm was activated but deputies found no threat in the 2300 block of West Bench road.

Dec. 13

7:50 a.m. – Deputies observed a vehicle left parked and when owner was contacted they removed the vehicle from the roadway of the 700 block of South Mckinney Road.

9:23 a.m. – Deputies responded to a suspicious 911 call and when deputies arrived they were unable to contact the resident of the scene, they did get permission from the responsible to clear the residence and they were still unable to locate the individuals in the 1100 block of South Booker Road.

10:03 a.m. – Report of malicious mischief but when deputies arrived to the scene they found it was a civil matter in the 300 block of West Cooper Street, Washtucna.

3:57 p.m. – Civil matter in the 2200 Block of West rainier Road.

7:25 p.m. – Report of fraud and the caller being scammed, the caller was able to report it before any money was taken from the 1300 block of North Deal Road.

8:46 p.m. – Deputies contacted a single occupant vehicle and saw the driver was passed out behind the wheel. They were advised he was not licensed, deputies were informed to contact a licensed driver and to not drive in the 2200 block of Highway 26.

Dec. 14

4:33 a.m. – Report of two vehicle parked in front of the callers home and when the deputies arrived both vehicles were gone from the 1100 block of North Rand Lane.

9:13 a.m. – Abandoned vehicle was reported at a residency, the caller requested junk vehicle forms in which the caller received in the 2200 block of West Rainier Road.

10:50 a.m. – Civil matter in the 100 block of North DST, Washtucna.

11:16 a.m. – Deputies were informed of a traffic hazard blocking the roadway but when deputies arrived there was no traffic hazard in the 2200 block of West Rainier Road.

11:35 a.m. – A alarm was activated at a residence and when deputies arrived they were informed it was a false alarm and left shortly after that from the 400 block of East Yeisley Road.

4:12 p.m. – Report of an abandoned vehicle and caller requested junk vehicle forms in which they received in the area of West Kenfield Lane.

4:26 p.m. – Citizen assist in the 2100 block of West Cunningham Road.

8:49 p.m. – A medical call about a subject falling and hitting their head and having abnormal breathing patterns in the 800 block of North Plager Road, when medical arrived they realized the subject had overdosed on fentanyl and gave the patient a dose of narcan, the patient was transported the East Adams Rural Healthcare for further treatment.

9:25 p.m. – Domestic violence call and when deputies arrived both subjects informed the deputies of a fall which caused some discomfort to one of the subject and they were on their way to seek medical attention, when the subject who had called 911 was asked of any physical altercation the subject denied, in the 2000 block of West Bench Road.

Dec. 15

10:27 a.m. - Report of an abandoned vehicle that had been parked in the front of his property for two days, when deputies contacted the owner of the vehicle the owner said they would remove the car as soon as possible from the 2400 block of West bench Road.

12:28 p.m. – Report of a pickup and RV that had passed the callers home multiple times and when the deputies arrived they claimed no criminal activity was observed in the Theo block of West Lind-Warden Road.

8:38 p.m. – Welfare check requested in the 1600 block of West First Avenue.

11:00 p.m. – Report of a juvenile unresponsive and when deputies arrived the caller and juvenile had already left in the callers personal vehicle to the hospital for medical treatment, when the deputies made contact the juvenile was conscious and okay in the 600 block of South Kristina Road.

Dec. 16

3:17 a.m. – Report of a male attempting to open car doors but he was unable to open any vehicles. There was no damage to any vehicle in the 2100 block of West June Street.

11:32 a.m. – Deputies responded to a suspicious 911 call and when deputies responded they found a child playing with a cell phone in the 2200 block of West rainier road.

4:49 p.m. – Citizen Dispute in the 200 block of West South First Street, Lind.
