Klewin goes 1-1 at girls league meet

SPANGLE – Emmy Klewin went 1-1 on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at the second girls league wrestling meet of the season.

Wrestling for a combined small-school team, Klewin – the lone girl for the Broncos – partnered with Liberty, Colfax, Davenport and others to face off against large schools.

In her first bout in the 170-pound weight class, Klewin took an 8-2 lead before pinning (first name not reported) Hilton of Lewis and Clark.

In her second match, Klewin faced Abigail Itveldt of Gonzaga Prep.Itveldt took a 10-2 lead before pinning Klewin in the third round.
