Klewin wins Wrestle-In

SPOKANE VALLEY – A Lind-Ritzville wrestler won her weight class Thursday night, Dec. 7, at the East Valley Girls Wrestle-In league event.

Emilia Klewin pinned both of her opponents in the 154-163 pound weight class to win her division.

Klewin opened the girls-only league meet by pinning Isabell Leyve of Mary Walker (Springdale) in 2:17.

In the match for first place in her class, she pinned Bella Doucette of Rogers (Spokane) in 53 seconds.

The event was the first league match for girls wrestling in the small school division.

Unlike boys, girls wrestle against schools in multiple classifications; the small school division includes Class 1B, 2B, 1A and 2A schools.
