First successful elk hunt

Brenik Esser, a Lind-Ritzville sophomore, recently shot his first elk, a spike, on a hunting trip near Asotin. Hunting his uncle Marv Esser and brother Bryce Esser, the successful hunter used a Remington .243. The kill came with a single shot from about 130 yards away.
