RITZVILLE – The local Mennonite community will be raising funds for world-wide disaster relief during its annual Country Auction on Saturday, Oct. 7.

The event at Menno Mennonite Church, 1378 N. Damon Road, is open to the public.

“Booth sales begin at 10 a.m., featuring Amish Cheese, homemade ice-cream, pies and other baked goods,” spokesman Dennis Swinger Jr. said. “Ham, bacon and German sausage, are available, as well.”

There will also be hand-pressed, fresh apple cider and apple butter made in a copper kettle over an open fire on site, he said.
