CHENEY -- Several Adams County cowboys and cowgirls competed in rodeos to the north and south of Ritzville last week.
From July 3-5, Basin City hosted the Freedom Rodeo. Then from July 7-9, they moved north to the Cheney Rodeo in Cheney.
Both rodeos featured traditional competitions and were prefaced by community parades.
While official Cheney Rodeo results have yet to be announced, the All-Around Cowboy honors at Freedom Rodeo went to Shane Proctor of Grand Coulee.
