'Tucna to celebrate July 4

Old-fashioned fun on tap for holiday

WASHTUCA – Looking for some old-fashioned, Fourth of July fun?

Look no further.

Washtucna’s annual Independence Day celebration is set to begin at 11 a.m. in Bassett Park.

At that time, a parade is set to march in patriotic fashion.

“We haven’t done a parade since the

pandemic, so we’re going to do a little one around the park,” event spokeswoman Lora Hille said, noting that’s just the start of the local fun.

Parade entries are still welcome, she said, noting anyone wishing to join in can email her at [email protected].
