OTHELLO — A local woman has been sentenced to federal prison for illegal possession of a firearm.
Alondra Yanez, 25, of Othello, was sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for being felon in possession of a firearm. U.S. District Court Judge Thomas O. Rice said the sentence will be tacked onto the end of a 12-month sentence for second-degree theft.
According to court records, Yanez pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court on Dec. 14, 2022, to the firearms charge.
