Snow expected this week

First snow accumulation in forecast

RITZVILLE —The National Weather Service is predicting wintry weather to blanket much of Adams County this week.

According to the weather agency, snow was expected to begin Tuesday night and continue through the week.

On Wednesday, residents and motorists should expect 1-3 inches to fall in some areas of the county early in the day, meteorologists said, noting the area may experience “patchy, blowing snow from 10 a.m. until noon.

Snow is expected to continue overnight with another half-inch in the forecast, the weather service said.

On Thursday, new snow accumulation of 1-2 inches is possible, meteorologists said.

Snowfall is expected to drop off Friday and Saturday, but resume Sunday evening.
