Runners compete in Harrington

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague freshman Maeve Korthuis rounds the bend during the District 7 league championship meet in Harrington Saturday, Oct. 15. Korthuis placed 30th in the meet with a time of 29:33.

HARRINGTON – The Lind-Ritzville/Washtucna/Harrington cross country team competed Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Harrington Golf Course.

Junior Caleb Heater led the Broncos, finishing in 46th overall in the boys varsity 5,000 meter with a time of 21:29. Bronco sophomore Brix Curtis was 51st overall with a time of 21:52.

In the girls division, freshman Maeve Korthuis was the lone Bronco in the field.

She finished 30th overall in 29:33.

The Broncos did not have enough runners to be scored as a team.
