A photo from 75 years ago - Next summer golfers will be putting on this new green, one of the three being added to bring the local course up to a nine-hole standard. The Journal-Times camera caught some of the volunteers at work Sunday, but not all, for many ambitious workers turned out to rake and shovel and roll and seed the additional three holes and fairway.

Nab Heimbigner
on Liquor Charge
Federal officers made some arrests here during the fair on charges of selling liquor to Indians. Adam Heimbigner, a prominent rancher near Packard, was arrested Friday night by Indian Agent Sherley of Spokane. He was lodged in jail but was released Saturday on cash bonds of $2,000. This is a federal offense and will be brought before the federal grand jury at Spokane. The charge is that Heimbigner sold liquor to an Indian and took a marked bill which was found on his person when he was arrested.
