Wolf-livestock predation rules remain unchanged

OLYMPIA – The state Fish and Wildlife Commission decided July 8 not to alter the rules for wolf-livestock conflicts.

The agency was considering changes during a special meeting, but opted for “Alternative 4,” no action.

The decision means the rules determining when culling a wolf pack is necessary will remain unchanged and continue to operate in accordance with a policy approved in 2017.

The commission also announced its August meeting will be in Clarkston.
