Activities abound May 21 in Harrington

HARRINGTON – The Studebaker Garage antique car museum hosted its 10th annual Studebaker Car Show on Saturday, May 21.

The car show lined both side of Third Street downtown and vehicles were also on display in

the Studebaker Garage parking lot.

The show included motorcycles, trucks, tractors and many different muscle cars.

A variety of awards were up for grabs to participants. Awards included Favorite Car for several different eras, including before 1929 and newer than 1980, Survivor Truck/Car and more.

Vehicles were judged in more than 30 categories; results were not available at press time.

The annual car show is in remembrance of Allen Jay Barth, who founded the garage in 2010.

Other activities filled town, as well.

The Harrington Athletics Booster Club served breakfast from 8-10 a.m., and Harrington Opera House Society hosted a rummage fundraiser with many antiques to choose from.

The Harrington PhotoPalooza was a free to the public camera swap and photo exhibit in Harrington Memorial Hall.

The Golf and Country Club Cafe hosted the "Wine on the Green" wine-tasting event. Live music was provided by pianist Rebecca Hardy.

The PTA also put on a rummage sale in the Harrington School Multi-purpose room.

The Hotel Lincoln had its storefront doors open, so the public could see renovations being made.
