Smiley, McMorris Rodgers speak at dinner

RITZVILLE – Adams County Republicans gathered for their Lincoln day dinner Saturday, March 26.

Senate candidate and Pasco-area farmer Tiffany Smiley was among the speakers.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers,R-Spokane, provided the keynote address. She represents Eastern Washington’s 5th Congressional District.

McMorris Rodgers pledged her support for farmers and hydroelectric power, and took questions from event-goers.

Auctioneers Jerry Snyder and Gus Tracy helped raise money for the Adams County Republican Central Committee.

Chairman Mike Kline said there were numerous first-time Lincoln Day Dinner attendees.

Road closed north of Ritzville

RITZVILLE – Adams County Public Works reported that East Snowden Road is closed between N Bauman and N Sage roads.

The intersection of N Bauman and E Snowden roads is located a little more than a mile north of the Wheat Land Communities Fairgrounds.

According to the Public Works Department this is expected to be “a long-term closure.”

Details of the closure were not released.

Military special election ballots mailed

PASCO— Franklin County has mailed the military and overseas ballots for its April 26th special election.

We anticipate mailing ballots to all Franklin County registered voters no later than Friday, April 8, Auditor Matt Beaton said. Ballots are due Tuesday, April 26.

Election information including measures and ballot drop box locations is available on the Franklin County website http://www.co.franklin.wa.us/elections.
