Softball team has rough start

RITZVILLE – It was difficult start to the season for the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague girls fastpitch softball team Saturday, March 19.

The Bronco girls were swept in a non-league doubleheader by the Colfax Bulldogs. The Bulldogs (2-0) took the first game 19-1 and the second game 18-2 over the Broncos (0-2) on a blustery occasionally rainy afternoon.

In the first game, Harper Booth led the charge for Colfax, going 3-of-4 at bat with a homerun and three RBIs.

Devan Becker and Taylor Parkin each added 4 RBIs for the visiting Bulldogs.
