Children carry
Tom Thumb parts
The "Tom Thumb Wedding" at the high school last Friday night, which was put on under the auspices of the Epwroth League, drew a good sized house. The program was put on by the little people of the town, directed by Miss Howell from Spokane and by Misses Lee and Steele of this city.
The children made quite an appearance in their dress-up things. The boys wore regulation full dress suits while the girls were attired in "party gowns" of varied hue and style.
A special feature of the programs was the singing by a number of children.

Students in car accident;
valuable load of flowers bulbs are taken overnight
A pick-up load of 2,000 tulips and daffodil bulbs valued at $400, which disappeared during the night following an accident Sunday evening at 9 p.m., caused more loss than car damages or personal injuries.
The bulbs were left beside the highway when a Ford pick-up overturned; and by Monday, practically every bulb was gone.
Two students at W.S.C. Pullman were in the 1938 Ford pickup which blew a left rear tire 11 miles west of Ritzville on the Moses Lake Highway and one vehicle rolled over.

1997 State B Basketball
champions!
Ritzville is now home to two state winning basketball teams after the girls defeated the Wilbur-Creston Wildcats in the championship game Saturday night for first place. The boys team earned a sixth place finish after losing to Darrington.
Ritzville was the only school out of the five entries that took both a boys' and girls' team to state that had both teams finish in the finals.
In recognition of the state titles, a parade and introduction assembly is planned for this Friday, March 14.
