RITZVILLE – The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague boys basketball game Jan. 4 against Northwest Christian (Colbert) is postponed due to positive COVID-19 tests in the local program.

The girls game against the Crusaders is also postponed.

The Broncos game at Davenport, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 14 had to be postponed.

In a Jan. 12 email from Athletic Director Greg Whitmore, the game was tentatively rescheduled for Saturday Feb. 5, just two days before the District Tournament is scheduled to tip off.

The game was postponed due to coronavirus issues at both schools.

The upcoming games at Upper Columbia Academy (Spangle) on Jan. 19, are also postponed due to COVID issues in Lions’ program.

Whitmore said that game, too, will be rescheduled, but no date was announced.

Looking ahead, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague is scheduled to host Northwest Christian (Colbert) on Jan. 21, in a game rescheduled from Jan. 4.

And next Saturday, Jan. 22, the Broncos are scheduled to host St George’s (Spokane), and then welcome Odessa to Gilson Gym on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

Currently, the girls have a record of 3-8 overall, 1-1 in league play, and are in sixth place in league standings. The boys are 7-3 overall, 3-1 in league play and hold fifth place in league standings.
