YAKIMA - The playoff run for the Lind-Ritzville/Sprague/Washtucna girls volleyball team ended Friday morning, Nov. 12, with a 3-1 loss to No. 11 seed Adna.

Taylor Galbreath, Dakota Killian and Grace Fedie celebrate scoring a point.

The Broncos won the first set 25-17, but lost the next three 23-25, 17-25 and 23-25.

The Broncos began the playoffs as the No. 10 seed on Thursday morning, Nov. 11, with a 3-1 loss to No. 7 Raymond. Three of the four sets were extremely close, with the second set requiring an extra point. The scores were 25-23, 24-26, 17-25 and 23-25.

That loss sent the Broncos to the consolation bracket, where they resumed play Thursday afternoon with a 3-1 win over No. 15 Wahkiakum. Scores were 25-15, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-18.

All three opponents were high schools from Western Washington. The match with Adna ended the season for the Broncos, with two of the four sets decided by only 2 points.
