Fair and Round-up Draw Record Crowd. Wheat Makes A Recovery.

The Fourth annual Adams County Fair and First Round Up passed into history Saturday night as the biggest and most successful enterprise which has been held in this county probably since the county was organized. Perfect weather rewarded weeks of dilligent work on the part of those interested in the fair and thousands of people gathered here from all parts of the Inland Empire.

This week has seen a marked recovery in the price of wheat. The price had gotten down as low as 93 cents for baart and 96 cents for turkey red.

Rummer Buys Building on Main Street. Adams County Livestock Wins Big.

One of Ritzville's main business buildings passed into new ownership this week when A. C. Rummer purchased the Myers-Shepley building which has housed the Rummer's store the past five years. In the early days, the building was used as a grocery and a dry goods store, but later the grocery line was discontinued.

Adams County stock captured several prizes in big-league competition at the Pacific International Livestock Exposition held October 5-12 in Portland.

September Rainfall Up, Ritzville Band Performs On WSU Band Day.

Eastern Adams county had September rainfall well above average, reports Lu Tilden, conservationist at the Soil Conservation service office here. Tilden compiled the summary readings from nine rural area weather reporting stations.

Ritzville. band members did a good job as their part of WSU band day at Joe Albi stadium in Spokane, Saturday reported their director, Dennis Koch.

Celebration marks three years at New Hope Center. Gorillas Take Broncos By Storm.

The month of October there is a jubilee Celebration for three years at New Hope Center, located at 701 West Main in Ritzville.

A bright sunny afternoon greeted the Davenport Gorillas at Jimmie-Snyder-field on Friday as the Gorillas gave the Ritzville. Broncos a lesson in why they are the top state-ranked team in B-11 football.
