Traffic stop leads to drug bust

RITZVILLE – Wednesday morning, June 9, Adams County Deputies contacted a subject who was stopped in the middle of the roadway on 1st Avenue in Ritzville in a rental vehicle with New Mexico license plates.

Upon the investigation into Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of narcotics the subject, Victor Roncon of California, was arrested and booked for the DUI charge with assistance from Washington State Patrol.

Adams County Deputies seized the car and applied for a search warrant for evidence of narcotics for the DUI.

The search warrant was granted and the vehicle searched.

According to the Adams County Sheriff's department, during the search of the vehicle, deputies located a loaded firearm, illegally concealed in the vehicle.

Deputies also located several containers of liquid that were full. All containers were field tested and tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. The vehicle is believed to be a manufacturing mobile meth extraction lab.

The containers with their contents were sent to the crime lab for analysis.

Rincor is being held at the Adams County jail for suspicion of illegal manufacture of illegal substance, methamphetamine, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Department.
