Tennis team wins one, drops one

Season coming to a strong close

DAVENPORT – The Lind-Ritzville-Sprague-Washtucna tennis team won all their matches when they traveled to Davenport Tuesday, April 27.

Hunter Cameron beat Davenport's Kale Smith 6-2, 6-3.

Amy Anderson beat Davenport's Makenzie Bramer 6-0, 6-0.

Serena Block and Alexis Melcher played Davenport's Brendan Wilson and Tristan Clark as an exhibition match and won 6-2, 6-2.

The team didn't have as much success when they hosted Chewelah April 29.

Cameron lost to Chewelah's Blake Foster 0-6, 2-6.

Anderson lost to Chewelah's Avneet Sahoto 0-6, 1-6.

Block and Melcher lost to Chewelah's Natalie George and Ava Hartill 1-6. 0-6

The tennis team traveled to Spokane to play against St. George's May 1.

The team is scheduled to host Wilbur-Creston Thursday, May 6. The match begins at 3 p.m.
