March 19

Citizen Assist in the 700 block of South Thacker Road in Othello.

Theft of items including a motorcycle in the 1000 block of West Schrag Road in Ritzville.

Traffic Hazard involving four wheelers in the 2500 block of West Bench Road in Othello.

Traffic Offense at South Booker Road and West Herman Road in Othello. Jorge D. Ayala, 26, of Othello was arrested, cited and released for driving without a license.

Noise complaint in the 2100 block of West Cunningham Road in Othello.

Deputies assisted the Othello Police Department in the 600 block of South 4th Avenue in Othello. Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit called to search vehicle after it was stopped for eluding police, and driver suspected of DUI. K9 Garrett alerted on the vehicle.

March 20

Domestic disturbance in the 200 block of South Gregg Road in Othello. Incident will be forwarded to prosecutor’s office.

Theft from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue in Hatton.

Violation of a no-contact order in the 1800 block of West Sutton Road in Othello.

Suspicious incident of trespassing in the 1700 block of North Sage Road in Ritzville. Subject claiming to be the mayor of Ritzville inquiring about farm equipment for sale on the property.

Littering in the 2100 block of West Highway 26 in Othello. Illegal dumping along the canal bank.

Theft in the 1800 block of West Foley Road in Othello. Two horse shelters were stolen.

False alarm in the 2300 block of West Bench Road in Othello.

Agency Assist in the West Bench Road and South Broadway Avenue area in Othello. Deputies secured the scene of a collision until WSP units arrived.

Alarm in the 1800 block of North Sievers Road in Ritzville. Deputies observed a doorway to a garage open but did not locate anyone inside.

March 21

Noise complaint in the 600 block of South Drury Lane in Othello. Traffic offense on I-90 near milepost 209 in Ritzville. Gaige S. Sebens, 29, of Moses Lake was arrested, cited and released for driving with a suspended license.

Citizen Assist in the 2100 block of West Margaret Lane in Othello. Complainant in the Warden area was directed to contact the appropriate department in the neighboring jurisdiction.

Suspicious incident in the 2200 block of West Rainier Road in Othello regarding a vehicle reported to be at the location.

Burglary in the 2300 block of West Highway 26 in Othello. Pedro Salazar Molina, 54, of Othello was arrested and booked into jail for DUI, Attempted Residential Burglary and Felony Harassment.

Trespassing in the North Cow Lake Road and East Wellsandt Road area in Ritzville. Report of a suspect from Spokane County at the location. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and the investigation is ongoing.

Citizen Assist in the 700 block of South Hillcrest Road in Othello. Complainant reported someone driving into his yard.

Suspicious incident on North St. Clair Avenue in Lind. Complainant reported dogs barking outside of her vehicle.

March 22

Suspicious incident in the 600 block of South Drury Lane in Othello. Complainant reported a vehicle driving slowly through the neighborhood.

Suspicious incident in the 1700 block of East Heinemann Road in Ritzville. Deputies located a vehicle reported to have been in a field near the location before moving to a convenience store. Subject said they were just looking for a place to sleep.

Traffic Offense in the South Taylor Road and South Eagle Road area in Othello. Jessica Chavez, 36, of Othello was arrested, cited and released for driving over the speed limit.

Deputies responded to a medical call in the 2100 block of West Cunningham Road in Othello. EMS arrived and transported patient to the Othello Community Hospital.

Fire in the 1900 block of West Atkinson Road in Othello. Deputies responded to the fire alarm and remained until the fire department arrived.

Deputies collected evidence regarding a reported hit and run at West Bench Road and South Taylor Road in Othello.

Citizen Assist on North St. Clair Avenue in Lind. Complainant reported theft of medical equipment three months earlier. Complainant’s son reported the equipment being kept in Ritzville.

Trespassing in the 1800 block of West Sutton Road in Othello. Third-party report of trespassers fleeing from the location.

Report of a suspicious subject walking down the road and looking at things in the area of West Bench Road and South Thacker Road in Othello.

March 23

Investigation is ongoing into a burglary in the 2500 block of West Bench Road in Othello. Forced entry was made and property damaged but nothing was reported stolen.

False report of trespassing at South Klein Road and South Main Street in Washtucna. Subjects from the Department of Fish and Wildlife were doing a survey.

Investigation is ongoing into the report of a vehicle striking a fence in the 2400 block of West Hatton Road in Othello the previous day and leaving the area.

Deputies responded to a report of trespassing in the 600 block of South Wagon Road in Othello, and advised the complainant the issue of a subject living at the residence the last four months without permission was civil in nature and needed to be handled by the courts.

Investigation is ongoing into a report of a tire being damaged by a family member in the 2200 block of West Highway 26 in Othello.

Complainant was advised to contact the courts regarding a sale of property in the 800 block of South Taylor Road in Othello, as the matter was civil in nature.

Agency Assist on South Highway 17 near milepost 35 in Othello. False report of a vehicle entering Adams County being reported as stolen.

Complainant flagged down deputies in the 1200 block of South 1st Avenue in Othello asking for assistance with depression and was directed to mental health services.

March 24

Report of mailboxes in the 1500 block of North Batum Road in Ritzville being opened during the night. Nothing was missing as mail had already been removed.

Investigation is ongoing into a report of stolen gasoline and diesel in the 500 block of South Booker Road in Othello.

Deputies observed a goat in the road at South Thacker and West Rainer in Othello and contacted the responsible party, who secured the animal.

Suspicious incident in the 300 block of Cherry Street in Hatton. Deputies searched for a suspicious vehicle but were not able to locate it.

Investigation is ongoing into a report of gasoline stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of South Booker Road in Othello.

Deputies assisted the Ritzville Police Department with a reported domestic in the 1300 block of Weber Avenue in Ritzville.

Deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a neighbor’s residence in the 600 block of South Steele Road in Othello by contacting the family members of the registered owner, who advised they would get the vehicle moved.

Investigation is ongoing into a trailer fire in the 2100 block of West Cunningham Road in Othello.

Deputies were unable to locate the caller of multiple 911 hang-ups in the 600 block of South Taylor Road in Othello.

March 25

Investigation is ongoing into a reported theft of tools at West Highway 26 and South Lucy Road in Othello.

Investigation is ongoing into a reported theft in the 1300 block of West Cunningham Road in Othello.

Deputies stopped a vehicle reported as suspicious on South Rayburn Road in Othello. No crime was observed.

Investigation is ongoing into a reported theft of a trail bike, lawn tractor, forge, bicycle and scrap metal in the 1000 block of West Schrag Road in Ritzville.

Report of a suspicious subject at South Thacker Road and West Rainier Road in Othello resulted in the male subject being taken to the sheriff’s office for an interview regarding an unrelated case.

Deputies responded to a report of a threatening call in the 700 block of South Obrian Road in Othello.

False alarm in the 1900 block of West Foley Road in Othello.

Deputies attempted to contact a citizen complaining about her landlord wanting to inspect her house in the 2100 block of West Peter Lane in Othello.

Deputies responded to a complaint of two vehicles getting ready to race near the location of West Hampton Road and South Reynolds Road in Othello.
