RITZVILLE – The City Council interviewed the two remaining candidates - Councilwoman Debbie Chapman and former Mayor Linda Kadlec - for interim mayor Tuesday, Mar. 16.
The council will appoint one to the position during a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. April 1. Due to capacity limited by coronavirus rules, residents wanting to attend the meeting virtually can call 509-659-1930 for instructions.
The interim mayor will serve from April through November, when voters will determine who will lead the city from through December 2023.
