KITTITAS – An Othello man was taken to a Yakima hospital following a head-on crash on Interstate 90 on Christmas day.

Joaquin V. Garcia, 37, was taken to the hospital after the 7:16 p.m. crash near the Thorp Road exit, the Washington State Patrol said.

Garcia was eastbound in a 2009 Toyota Camry on I-90 when he crossed the centerline and struck a 1996 Freightliner towing a trailer in the westbound lane, the patrol said. Truck was driven by Ryne A. Haller, 61, hometown unknown.
