Collision sends man to Harborview

GRANT COUNTY — A Moses Lake man has been taken to

Harborview Medical Center in Seattle following a three-vehicle collision on Highway 17 the morning of Nov. 10.

Ryan D. Madrishin of Moses Lake, 21, was driving southbound when he lost control and crossed the center line at milepost 44, according to WSP officials. Madrishin's 2003 Toyota Tacoma pickup came to rest in the northbound lane facing west against the guardrail.

Darren K. Amoruso of Othello, 51, was driving northbound and struck Madrishin the first vehicle had crossed the center line. Amoruso continued northbound and struck a vehicle driven by Matthew J. Borschowa of Moses Lake. Borschowa, 36, was driving southbound when he was hit.

Amoruso's 2017 GMC Sierra pickup and Borschowa's 213 Toyota Camry both came to rest on the southbound shoulder.

Madrishin, who was not wearing a seatbelt according to WSP, was taken by aid car to Harborview. According to WSP, drugs or alcohol were not involved but the cause of the collision was speeds too fast for conditions.

Madrishin's vehicle had reportable damage and was towed from the scene.

Amoruso and Borschowa, who were wearing their seatbelts, were not injured. Both their vehicles had reportable damage and were towed from the scene.

The collision took place shortly before 6:30 a.m.
