Published letters should be fact checked

After reading yet another letter from Gerald R. Ray, Spokane, I am compelled to ask him to start providing specific sources for the statements he makes.

In his latest, “English needs to be the official language”, he managed to misstate the effect of President Clinton’s Executive Order 13166 and the stated goals of La Raza with regard to ballot languages. These things are easily ascertainable.

Perhaps The Journal should employ a fact-checker when faced with yet another letter from Gerald R. Ray, Spokane.
