District Court Judge support voiced

Very soon the voters in Ritzville have a very important election to vote in. The one race I would like to address is the election of the Ritzville District Court Judge. A judge must be impartial, fair, and knowledgeable in the law, a leader in the community and the justice system.

A judge must be open minded and keep abreast of trends and practices that make the justice system work more effectively and efficiently in the community it is designed to represent.

More importantly, a judge must be decisive and have the ability to make immediate decisions. Good decisions that are supported by logic and common sense.

I have nearly thirty five years experience in law enforcement and I have had many opportunities to work with and appear in front of many district court judges. Some were mediocre and some were excellent. The excellent judges had all the aforementioned traits. I also sat on the Adams County Law and Justice Council and the chair and vice chair. There is a need for change in Adams County. The justice system needs updating. It needs leadership.

Based on my experiences and based on my working knowledge of the candidates, it is clear that Carolyn Benzel is the best candidate for the position.

I have worked on very complicated cases with Carolyn. I found her to be honest, fair, impartial and flexible enough to listen to all the facts. When the time came she was decisive and her decisions were always supported with logic and common sense.

Carolyn will provide the type of leadership in the District Court and the Law and Justice Council that will ultimately bring about positive change. Change that the citizens of Adams County can be proud of.

Please join me in supporting Carolyn Benzel for District Court Judge.
