High school group thanks community

On behalf of the We Lind-Ritzville Group from Lind-Ritzville High School, we would like to thank everyone who was involved in the collection of money for the Garcia family in Lind as well as the foster kids in our communities. Thank you to the businesses who allowed us to place donation buckets in their buildings for such a long period of time. For those of you who donated money to these buckets, your contributions are greatly appreciated.

The first money that was raised was donated to the Garcia family after the terrible fire in Lind. The remaining donations went towards foster children in Moses Lake.

The We Lind-Ritzville Group created boxes filled with candy and toys, and delivered them to the foster care agency personally. Overall, we received about $3,800 in donations.

In addition, we will be selling snow cones at the Combine Derby, and all money we receive will be going to a water project with our sister city in rural China and local foster kids. This is a great community and we are very grateful to be part of it.
