Campaign promises are being broken

Where’s Hospital Commissioner Snyder’s resignation? Am I the only one that heard his election promise, “As long as I’m a hospital commissioner, there will be no new hospital!”

Now it seems he is on the building committee, and asking this community to pass a bond issue to build a new hospital. Where are the local contractors that were going to be used to repair and refurbish our present hospital? Wasn’t he going to keep the repair dollars in the community? How is that working?

It sounds to me like Mr. Snyder is the consummate politician. Promise whatever the voting public wants to hear. I suppose we could assume that he didn’t know what he was talking about and truth took a back seat to gathering votes. But I know for a fact that since the triad has taken control, this board has paid a Spokane attorney tens of thousands of dollars. Does anyone know what we are paying for? It seems we can no longer have a meeting without an attorney present. We couldn’t even use a local attorney to keep the dollars in the community.

Just once, I would like to see a politician make good on a promise. Snyder should resign.
