Restrictions needed on immigration

We are a nation of immigrants! Immigrants that were needed to build railroads, homestead the land, cut down the forest, work in the factories and fuel the westward movement. We don’t have those needs anymore as we have 7.8 percent unemployment rate. We have the problem of slightly over 50 percent of our population supporting the rest of the population. We have the problem of refugees being brought to America by churches, and various organizations, only to be abandoned and the U.S. tax payer picks up the tab.

We have the problem of American students being crowded out of colleges by foreign students (mainly Chinese) because they have the money and don’t need scholarships. These same Chinese, (many colleges have a ratio of one Chinese for four Americans) are willing to work good paying jobs for less money than Americans are being paid.

Then we must remember our never-ending problems of illegal Latinos that our government has made only token attempts to control. We have the problem of the Chinese buying up strategic parcels of businesses and real estate.

We are an overloaded ship and we are adding passengers. Where is the logic?
