President’s foreign policy is suspect

As the heads of various governments arrived in New York prior to the opening of the United Nations (U.N.) General Assembly there were some who were surprised. Several of these people requested one on one talks with President Obama prior to the general assembly and they had to be appeased with Mrs. Clinton. President Obama had a previous commitment to have banal conversation with the five ladies from “The View.” Both Mr. Romney and President Obama have made rounds of TV programs. However, I see putting boldfaced banality ahead of one on one talk with world leaders as a serious lack of diplomacy at a time when our world is in serious turmoil. I strongly believe we should not be taking a risk of offending even one possible ally.

I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised when he hasn’t addressed our nation from the White House in over six months. Also in this time frame it has been finally admitted that the White House knew about 9-11-12 shortly after the embassy attack. Too much is at stake to have our President campaigning when he should be taking care of business, which includes being honest with our people.

His speech to the U.N. General Assembly included the statement that, “a nuclear armed Iran is not a challenge that can be contained.”

In my opinion, President Obama had a better option! He could have told the Iranian leadership that under no circumstances will it ever be permitted to develop or acquire nuclear weapons, and that the U.S. is prepared to take decisive military action to make sure of this.
