    The Lind-Ritzville/Sprague Lady Broncos fastpitch softball team accomplished their goal of qualifying for the 2B State Tournament, scheduled for May 25-26 in Yakima.     People who walked past the Adams County Superior Courtroom on May 16 and noticed the trial happening might have thought it was a civil case. At a second glance they would realized the courtroom personnel and jury were all children. The case was actually a mock trial staged by elementary school students. Students residing in eastern Adams County were invited to the courthouse for Law Day. The trial was one of the activities the children participated in during the event....

    Over the Memorial Day weekend, the Fred Bauer Band will be performing at Big Bend Bowl, in the Bear Bottom Bar and Grill. Live music will be played on Friday and Saturday night. The Fred Bauer Band is playing Saturday, May 26, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. There is a $3 cover charge, and the event is only open to those 21 years of age or older.
