  • Monthly pancake feast set at Gritman Center Friday

    The H.E. Gritman Senior Center is hosting the monthly pancake breakfast on Friday, Jan. 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Pancakes, a choice of ham or sausage, and juice or coffee, are on the breakfast menu this Friday with a suggested donation of $5 per person. The breakfast serves as a fundraiser for the senior center and is held the second Friday of every month, except during the summer.     Velma M. Dehnel died after her battle to cancer on Friday, Jan. 3, at the age of 88. She was born Dec. 13, 1925, to Mr. and Mrs. G.M. Schultz of Ritzville on their farm near Paha.     Robert (Bob) Kenneth Tracy died Dec. 23 after a 19 month battle with Leukemia. Robert was born Oct. 2, 1951. Robert joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 17 and later became an iron worker for 23 years.     Louis Rickman, 97, longtime Othello area resident, died in the early hours of Dec. 30, due to complications following a stroke. Louis was born April 7, 1916, in Hatton to Frank and Clara Rickman.
