Grange hosts potluck, honors vets

RALSTON — Ralston Grange Hall No. 943 hosted a Thanksgiving potluck and Veterans Appreciation dinner Tuesday, Nov. 19.

The 6 p.m. dinner followed a ceremony honoring local veterans.

Ralston Grange provided turkey, ham, beverages and table service.

Festivals association seeks directors

Ritzville — The Ritzville Festivals Association is seeking nominees for its board of directors.

Anyone interested in being a board member or who wants to nominate someone is encouraged to attend the 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, meeting in the conference room at 210 W. Alder St.

Four voluntary positions — president, vice president, treasurer and secretary — are open. Following nominations, new members will be appointed Dec. 14 for one-year terms of office that begin Jan. 1.

The board directs and supports the association, the Miss Ritzville pageant and float. Members help determine themes, manage two fundraising events, and build and handle the float,.

“We work close with the Miss Ritzville Pageant and still have a lot of fun to come,” Amber Marie Hunt said.
