Racing team wins 2-of-3 classes
The Webb's Slough Safety Crew pulls the Hooligan team's boat back into the water during the sprint boat races on Saturday, Aug. 24, in St. John. Hooligan is made up of Jesse Hart as driver and Michelle Heindel as navigator.
ST. JOHN - The Jolly Rogers racing team made a great showing at the Webb's Slough sprint boat races on Saturday, Aug. 24, winning two of the three classes.
In the Modified class, driver T.J. Burrows and navigator Keith Brownsberger won the division. The duo beat out the team Slippery Pickle of Jesse Denton and Terry Lamb, which took second.
Third place was Cheney-based Pour Decisions team of Jason Perkins nd Kyle Belles. Fourth place was Checkmate, with driver Frank Toftemark and navigator Kelly Toftemark.
In the 400 class, Jolly Rogers took the checkered flag again.
